Rebekah Svadlenka, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Rebekah is a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Board Certified. Rebekah obtained her master’s degree from Walden University in 2020. Rebekah has been a nurse in Itasca County for 13+ years and started her nursing education at Itasca Community College.
Rebekah has cared for patients across the lifespan and has worked in Long -term Care, Labor and Delivery, Medical-Surgical, and the Emergency Room. Rebekah’s favorite role has been in the Emergency Room, and this experience prompted her to realize how critical mental health care is for our community.
Rebekah is dedicated to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for her patients. Rebekah is passionate about mental health care for everyone and focus areas include adverse childhood experiences/trauma, chemical dependency, adolescence, LGBQT+, reducing mental health related ER visits, and connecting physical health and mental health together. Rebekah is also dedicated to serving fellow health professionals. “As a nurse in the emergency room, I know all too well the effects of burnout and compassion fatigue. As providers we need to make sure we our taking care of our own mental health so we can continue to provide for our community and families. No one should feel ashamed to ask for help”.
Rebekah stays active and can be found around town lifting weights, rollerblading, skateboarding, running, or riding her bike. Rebekah also enjoys spending her time with her significant other and their two dogs, Zip and Freckles.
Rebekah will be seeing patients 7 years and older for psychiatric evaluations, medication management and therapy.
